How to Replace Your Hammer Shaft

• Remove the old shaft from the hammer head.
• Fit the new shaft onto the hammer head by knocking it into place.
• Mark the position where the bottom of the head meets the shaft using a pen.
• Remove the shaft and carefully cut a slit from the top down using a hacksaw (if not pre-cut).
• Cut only halfway down to the mark you made earlier.
• Reattach the shaft by knocking it firmly back onto the hammer head.
• Insert the wooden wedge into the slit and hammer it in until flush.
• Secure with the metal wedge by hammering it in at a diagonal to the wooden wedge for extra hold.
  
  Your hammer is now securely fitted and ready for use!
